These are the denim cutoffs I came up with during my recent 'SHOP YOUR CLOSET' challenge. 

My advice when making cutoffs is to make your first cut 4-6 inches longer than you think you want. Conservatively trim away the excess, trying them on in between cuts, until they're just slightly longer than 'finished'. Gently fray the edges with the blade of a scissors, run them through the wash, and voila! NEW DENIM CUTOFFS!
